Ring of Honor is a Indie pro wrestling promotion operating in the United States, based in Jacksonville, Florida, USA.
The ROH promotion was founded on February 23, 2002 by Rob Feinstein.
ROH gained a reputation for being a breeding ground for future stars, with many of its alumni, such as CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and Seth Rollins, going on to achieve worldwide fame. The promotion's emphasis on pure wrestling, respect for tradition, and athleticism has attracted a dedicated fanbase.
ROH was operated by Cary Silkin from 2004 until its sale to Sinclair Broadcast Group in 2011. During the 2010s, ROH was recognized as the third-largest wrestling promotion in the U.S., behind WWE and TNA, initially focusing on internet distribution.
Under Sinclair's ownership, ROH expanded its reach through talent-sharing deals with international wrestling companies, increased television visibility, and launched its own streaming service, Honor Club, in 2018. However, facing financial difficulties, Sinclair put ROH on hiatus at the end of 2021.
In March 2022, ROH was sold to Tony Khan, founder and CEO of All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and the sale was completed in May 2022. ROH now operates as a sister promotion to AEW.
