The EVOLVE promotion was founded on January 29, 2010 by Gabe Sapolsky, Sal Hamaoui, and it ceased operations on July 2, 2020.
Evolve showcased a diverse roster of American and Japanese wrestlers and had a close partnership with Dragon Gate USA until the latter's closure in August 2015. In 2015, Evolve began a relationship with WWE, facilitating talent scouting and potential signings. On July 2, 2020, WWE officially purchased Evolve, giving them full rights to the name and video library.
