Dragon Gate USA was a Indie pro wrestling promotion operating in the United States, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
The DG USA promotion was founded on July 25, 2009 by Gabe Sapolsky, Satoshi Oji, and it ceased operations on December 22, 2014.
This was an international expansion of the Japanese promotion Dragon Gate. Dragon Gate USA featured regular members of the Dragon Gate roster, along with notable American talent.
This company during it’s beginning produced some of the best wrestling shows of 2011/2012, taking from its parent promotion’s emphasis on Lucha Libre, and intense storytelling. The promotion faulted and only a couple of years because of disagreements between the Japanese and American branches.
