The Beat The Clock Challenge Match refers to each of the bouts contested during a Beat The Clock Challenge, a unique tournament based on match duration. In this tournament, a certain number of Beat The Clock Challenge Matches are held, and the ultimate winner is the one who defeats their opponent in the shortest time.
Essentially, it is a Single Match, which can conclude via pinfall, submission, disqualification (DQ), or count-out. The key difference from a standard singles match is the time aspect. The first of these matches has no time limit, and once it concludes, its duration becomes the time limit for the next Beat The Clock Challenge Match.
The subsequent match has a time limit equal to the length of the previous match: if there is no winner within that time frame, it is declared a draw. However, if it concludes before the time limit, its duration sets a new time limit, which will apply to the following Beat The Clock Challenge Matches.
In these Beat The Clock Challenges, something is usually (though not always) at stake, particularly the status of #1 contender for a specific title.
