The NXT Championship is a main title contested in World Wrestling Entertainment on the NXT brand, by men wrestlers.

The championship was first established on July 1, 2012, and the inaugural champion was Seth Rollins.

This is a newer version of the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship, with its own distinct lineage.

With a lineage that already includes elite WWE Superstars like Big E and Seth Rollins, the NXT Championship has quickly established itself as not only a major title, but a gateway to bigger things for the breakout competitors of NXT.
