The Reverse Battle Royal is the opposite of a traditional Battle Royal, where instead of trying to throw opponents out of the ring, wrestlers must try to enter it. This unique match format is typical of TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) and usually involves an even number of participants.

The match is divided into three distinct phases:

  1. First Phase: All the wrestlers start outside the ring and brawl, trying to enter the ring. The phase ends when half of the participants have successfully entered the ring, while those who remain outside are eliminated from the match.
  2. Second Phase: A classic Over the Top Rope Battle Royal begins with the wrestlers inside the ring, continuing until only two participants remain.
  3. Third Phase: The final two wrestlers compete in a standard Single Match, with victory achieved by pinfall, submission, disqualification, or count-out. The winner of this last phase is also the overall winner of the Reverse Battle Royal.

One of the most famous Reverse Battle Royals took place at Bound For Glory 2007, where 16 wrestlers competed, and Eric Young emerged victorious.
