Pro Wrestling Fujiwara Gumi was a Indie and Shoot Style pro wrestling promotion based in Tokyo, Japan.
The PWFG promotion was founded on March 4, 1991 by Yoshiaki Fujiwara, Masaktsu Funaki, Minoru Suzuki, and it ceased operations on July 27, 1996.
The smallest of the various UWF offshoots, PWFG was founded by Yoshiaki Fujiwara, a disciple of legendary catch wrestler Karl Gotch and senior talent of the UWF locker room. PWFG would hone various future talents such as Minoru Suzuki and Yuki Ishikawa. Only two months after a successful Tokyo Dome supercard, several top talent of the company would leave to form MMA promotion Pancrase. Fujiwara’s promotion would continue running for a couple years after, but would collapse due to a talent exodus after a sponsor proposed a major restructuring closer to traditional pro wrestling than shoot style. This exodus, led by Ishikawa, would go on to form the company BattlARTS.
