The AEW Casino Battle Royale is a pro wrestling tournament held periodically by All Elite Wrestling.
The competition was established on May 25, 2019, and the first edition was won by Adam Page , while the last edition took place on March 1, 2023 and was won by Orange Cassidy and Danhausen [Tag Team].
The Casino Battle Royale is a unique variation of the Battle Royal. It features 21 entrants (though there have been exceptions, such as 10-15 tag teams or 8 trios). This match is used for single wrestlers (men or women), tag teams (Casino Tag Team Royale) and trios (Casino Trios Royale).
Match Structure
Unlike a regular Battle Royal, the Casino Battle Royale begins with a group of 5 wrestlers, and every three minutes, another group of five 5 enters, while the 21st and final entrant enters alone. The wrestlers are grouped based on the suit they drew from a deck of cards (spades, diamonds, clubs, or hearts) and the order of when each group enters is based on a random draw of the cards. The 21st and final entrant is the wrestler who drew the joker (usually a surprise entrant).
Elimination Rules
Eliminations in the Casino Battle Royale occur under Over the Top Rope rules: a wrestler must be thrown over the top rope, and both feet must touch the floor for the elimination to count. The last participant remaining in the ring is declared the winner.
Prize
The winner receives a title match of their respective division (AEW World Championship, AEW Women's World Championship or AEW World Tag Team Championship), while the Casino Trios Royale winners received $300,000.
