The WWE / NXT Cruiserweight Championship was contested in World Wrestling Entertainment, by men wrestlers.

The championship was first established on September 14, 2016, and the inaugural champion was T.J. Perkins.

This is a newer version of the WCW / WWE Cruiserweight Championship, with its own distinct lineage.

The championship was created as the top prize in the Cruiserweight Division, featuring the best athletes in the world under 205 lbs. The title was introduced during the Finale of the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic, and presented to the winner of the 32-man tournament.

The WWE / NXT Cruiserweight Championship was retired on January 4, 2022, when it was unified into the NXT North American Championship, with the final champion being Carmelo Hayes.
