How to Beat SOTM: Cena Breaks Zayn in WWE 2K25 MyFACTION's Ambulance Match

Let's start with the basics. Changing some in-game settings before entering this MyFACTION event would be beneficial if you don't want to button mash. Otherwise, skip ahead to the section after the next one.
How to Enable Held Input for the Ambulance Match Minigame
Here is how you can avoid button mashing in the various minigames for WWE 2K25's MyFACTION mode via the in-game settings:
- On the homepage for WWE 2K25, go to "Options."
- Select "Gameplay."
- Scroll down to "Allow Held Input for Mini-Games." Turn it "ON" if it's not enabled.
Although it says that it doesn't apply to Online, this feature still works against AI in MyFACTION. This setting will also affect submissions, meaning you wouldn't have to button-mash with this feature enabled. Now, let's get to the actual match.
Fight Sami Zayn in the Audience Section above the announce tables
The lack of the main HUD UI means you can't see if Sami Zayn still has Resiliency. You likewise won't be able to see the number of finishers either wrestler has. By default, Sami Zayn will start with two finishers, while you'll have one. He also gets a movement speed buff, further complementing his tendency to hit you with a running finisher outside the ring. If you don't counter it, you'll likely be easy pickings for him to throw into the ambulance because his stat overall is significantly higher than yours.
That's why it's important to prevent yourself from getting thrown into it in the first place. Here is a tip on how to make sure that the AI never takes you to the ambulance. Go to the barricade area above the announcer's table. You can enter the audience section there by pressing the same button you use whilst entering and exiting the ring.
If you want to complete this SOTM event in WWE 2K25 MyFACTION, then you should try to hit a few signatures and finishers on Sami Zayn here. Don't worry if he hits you with his finishers and signatures too much since the AI isn't smart enough to get you all the way to the ambulance from here. Ideally, John Cena should hit the Double Attitude Adjustment 2 (which is his Super Finisher). The hidden HUD UI makes it difficult to tell if you have the move or not, but remember, you start with one finisher by default.
Just hit a few signatures and go wild at your foe with all the weapons lying around here. Once you've successfully hit the Super Finisher and it looks like Sami Zayn gets up rather slowly, you should almost be done with this match. Before heading out to the ambulance, it would be advisable to make your foe waste his Resiliency Payback. To do so, hit a submission on him.
If he's badly hurt and close to tapping, then he may use his Resiliency Payback. You can tell when he uses it because the submission ends prematurely. It doesn't have to be from John Cena's STFU for this to occur, so regular submissions can work based on recent testing. Note that the enemy AI is not guaranteed to use Resiliency, so try a few times until he uses it.
Finishing Up John Cena vs Sami Zayn's SOTM Ambulance match
Once Sami Zayn has wasted his Resiliency Payback and seems slow to get up from your regular moves, it's time to finish this MyFACTION ambulance match. WWE 2K25 players are cautioned to be careful at this point, as your foe still has far higher stats than your silver John Cena '12. One inopportune counter could lead to losing, even if you have played it safe thus far. Nonetheless, you should have a good chance of finishing this match by now.
Just be ready to counter anything Sami does and hit another finisher in front of the ambulance. Have John Cena throw him in afterward, then complete the minigame. Should you fail this minigame, then you should go back to the audience section to be safe and continue the beatdown there. Similarly, failing to hit the finisher could be bad for you, so try to hit another finisher.
One good way to tell how close Sami Zayn is to losing without the HUD UI is by looking at his body damage. If he has bruises everywhere and is bleeding, then he's most likely taken a ton of damage. When you throw him into the ambulance, pay extra attention to the minigame prompt. This infamous match can take anywhere between 10 minutes to 20 minutes per attempt for the average player with this method.
