WWE 2K25: Rule Beyond the Ring!

WWE 2K25 is the latest installment in the long-running series of WWE professional wrestling games developed by 2K and Visual Concepts, and the successor to WWE 2K24.

WWE 2K25 brings an unparalleled roster of 300+ current Superstars, Legends, and Hall of Famers, expanding the action-packed gameplay you love.

For the first time, step outside the ropes, beyond the ring, and onto The Island - a WWE-themed world for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S stuffed with epic arenas, challenges, and live events.

Intergender match types also make their long-awaited franchise debut alongside an all-new unified MyRISE storyline with fresh brawl environments, unlockable arenas, characters, and more! MyGM goes global with 4-player online multiplayer, plus the return of chain wrestling and Universe Promos!

WWE 2K25 Release Date and Platforms

The WWE 2K25 Standard Edition will be released on March 14, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

The Deadman and Bloodline Editions of WWE 2K25 will be available from March 7, 2025, 7 days ahead of the Standard edition.

The game will still be available for past-generation consoles. WWE 2K25 will be released for the following platforms:

WWE 2K25 Roster

The WWE 2K25 Roster is the largest in the series, with more than 300 Superstars from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, as well as WWE Legends and Hall of Famers, including CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Bianca Belair, and more. Click here to see the Roster confirmed so far!

WWE 2K25 Pre-Order Bonus

The Wyatt Sicks Pack has been revealed as the WWE 2K25 Pre-Order Bonus. The Wyatt Sicks DLC Pack is also included with the WWE 2K25 Deadman and Bloodline Editions.

WWE 2K25 Game Features

WWE 2K25 New Match Types and Intergender Matches

Intergender matches are returning in WWE 2K25 after being absent from the series for over 16 years. This marks the first official inclusion of intergender matches in a WWE game since SmackDown vs Raw 2009. WWE or player-created Superstars from the men’s and women’s divisions can now compete against each other to set up limitless matchups across all game modes.

Additional features include the return of Chain Wrestling, Bloodline Rules Match, Underground Match, and new barricade diving! More details on the new match types will be shared soon.

WWE 2K25 Bloodline Showcase

2K Showcase: The Bloodline’s Dynasty: The all-new 2K Showcase, hosted by "The Wiseman" Paul Heyman, celebrates one of the most iconic wrestling family dynasties - The Bloodline and the extended Anoa’i family.

Featuring Roman Reigns, The Rock, Yokozuna, Jacob Fatu, and more, players can relive historic showdowns or flip the script and change the outcome of select match-ups. Dream matches between members of The Bloodline and WWE Superstars and Legends offer a "what if?" fantasy element to settle fan debates and start fresh feuds, in addition to some surprises in store. WWE 2K25 The Island

An interactive world made up of a series of areas built around different WWE themes, The Island offers players the opportunity to explore and challenge other players, while vying to earn a WWE contract by impressing "The Original Tribal Chief" Roman Reigns. By completing quests, taking on challenges, competing in live events, earning unlockables, and upgrading and customizing MySUPERSTARS through multiple storyline chapters, The Island allows players to step outside the ropes and "Rule Beyond the Ring."

The Island mode in WWE 2K25 had been confirmed to be only available on next-gen consoles: Xbox Series X|S and PS5. It will NOT be playable on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

WWE 2K25 MyGM Online Multiplayer

Intrepid GMs can take their show on the road and challenge general managers worldwide in the enhanced MyGM for WWE 2K25, now with online multiplayer for up to four players. Players draft WWE Superstars and Legends to their weekly show’s roster and lead their brand through multiple-week seasons with a bigger selection of General Managers, cross-brand Premium Live Events, and more.

WWE 2K25: Other Game Modes

MyFACTION: The collectible, card-battle mode is back with updated features, new content, and more ways to play. Faction Wars now features new node types, and 50 new stages. World Tour replaces Proving Grounds, enabling players to travel to different locations in a non-linear approach, while additional match-type support for live events and online matches, and new community events offer enhanced replayability. New themed card packs and goals will continue to roll out regularly throughout the year with seasonal content refreshes
MyRISE: Players guide their MySUPERSTAR from the women’s or men’s division in a singular multi-gender MyRISE storyline where Bayley, Kevin Owens, and other Superstars infiltrate NXT in an attempt to take control of the entire WWE. Featuring new personality choices that lead to specific storylines, as well as brawl environments, unlockable arenas, characters, useable objects, and more, plus new ally storylines involving Jey Uso, Bianca Belair, Seth Rollins, and other WWE Superstars
Universe: WWE 2K’s sandbox mode receives new upgrades to give players greater control over their Universe experience, including the long-awaited return of Promos! The new system includes multiple promo types and outcomes with new cutscenes and branching choices
Creation Suite: The hallmark of the WWE 2K franchise, the best-in-class, most detailed, and robust creation suite remains one of the driving forces behind players’ self-expression as they design their own custom Superstars, GMs, referees, arenas, entrances, move sets, championships, crowd signs, and more.

WWE 2K25 Gameplay Upgrades

The following are additional gameplay improvements announced so far for WWE 2K25:

Chain Wrestling: The latest WWE 2K25 teaser hints at the return of the iconic “Chain Wrestling” mechanic, known for its realistic grappling and strategic depth. Chain wrestling is a technique where a wrestler transitions seamlessly from one move to another, last seen in WWE 2K20
Superstars can now jump from the barricades outside the ring
New Third-person camera support, with the ability for players to freely control their camera with the Right Analog Stick
New brawl environments such as the WWE Archives and NXT Parking Lot.
Prime Hydration station is present at ringside

I'm on the fence about 2k25 .... I think I need to see the dlc, Roster and Creation Suite ( which they didn't talk about at all yet )

So far nothing they showed off grabbed me ... it's seems there us a strong focus on online Multi player modes this year ( The Island and Online GM mode ) ... that isn't my cup of tea

This might be the first WWE game in 10 years or so I don't pre order .... not saying it isn't good ... just no new feature announced so far grabbed my attention yet

  I don't want to turn this into a debate , I just noticed that you need money to waist to spend $15 for a basic pack in my faction

  Last year was the first year I paid for the most expensive edition of the game ... and I didn't get all the content .... that left a bad taste in my mouth ... this year they are not even trying to hide it

  @Jpopfan13 I don't think you sound like that. I think your being honest which today is a virtue. I have a PS5 and the island idea doesn't intrust me at all. Plus the Myfaction thing is worrisome, it's already way too expensive to get the whole roster.

  They're already paying a premium for a product, then paying extra on top of that.
  
  Thing is, I don't really blame 2K. It's a business - making money is the objective. The problem is all the fans willing to waste $200 because they simply MUST have the John Cena in the slightly bluer jorts.
  
  Obviously, it's to each his own. I don't use the MyFaction mode because I think it's cynical and a cash grab. Those that do are clearly free to do so, but it's a slippery slope. The more people do it, the more 2K will lock stuff behind paywalls.
  
  The ironic thing is, those same people will be crying a decade from now, when a single DLC character costs $100.

  @The R I can confirm about the persona cards. The packs are way overpriced. I bought 1 and got lucky but never after that. I just waited until any card I want showed up in the card market. Namely 2011 Punk with his OG theme and a couple of others. I did help contribute to Myfaction so I'm part of the problem but not the 1000s others contributed. I spent like $50 in there.

They haven't talk about the Creation Suite at all. I guess it's the same thing. Nothing new same the callnames since WWE2K19 and probably some names were removed like the name Xavier.

Maybe it's a case of last year way so great around this time ... Dusty , Billy Graham, undashing Cody Rhodes , Stardust ,4 new match types ( Gauntlet) , 40 years of Maina Showcase , Persona cards ( I understand what they turned out to be ... but during the pre order period I was Hyped )

  @Jpopfan13 For me, part of the problem is that the rosters are now getting so massive that it's becoming harder and harder to include wrestlers that would make the game an essential purchase. Either because they're already there, can't be included for various reasons or are contracted to other promotions.
  
  Many people who'd make the game an essential purchase for me would probably be unknown names to 90% of the people reading this. Similarly, I have zero interest in the likes of Road Dogg, Godfather, Mosh and Thrasher - all inclusions that others have been hyped for.
  
  For me, almost every wrestler I'd be excited to play as have less than a 5% chance of being included.
  
  And if we look beyond the roster, I think we've just about reached the limit of what's possible while the game remains on last gen.

  The problem is the feature then are pushing to get me to buy a next Gen Console ... is a Social online hub that will be full of Micro Transactions most likely
  
  The could have done 5 vs 5 Survivor Series, 12 people in the ring at once in the rumble , 6 person Stable Entrances , Create a Story ect
  
  The thing they pushed is likely a heavy micro Transactions filled mode ... so 650 for a current gen Console , 150 for the Blood line edition , 150 for the Playstation plus just to play the Island mode ... just to log on to see 70% or more of the Islands items locked behind another pay wall .... that doesn't sound worth it

I'm kinda happy the Island is current Gen only

From the sounds of it the launch of 2k25 on the Current Gen will be a mess ( the island mode and based off the Screen shots of the Underground match 11 or 12 people on Screen at once )

From the sound of it seems last Gen is basically a roster and MyRise update ... which I'm fine with being a ps4 player
