The tournament was established on June 26, 2019, and the first edition was won by ACH , while the last edition took place on January 2, 2024 and was won by Oba Femi .
The tournament features new arrivals on NXT (usually WWE Performance Center recruits), and the winner receives a championship match of their choice which can be cashed-in anytime.
