Ladies Legend Pro Wrestling-X is a Women pro wrestling promotion based in Tokyo, Japan.
The LLPW promotion was founded on August 29, 1992 by Rumi Kazama.
A successor to the original Japan Women’s Pro-Wrestling (JWP) promotion, the original JWP would be divided into two companies: “shooters” who would join Ladies Legend Pro-Wrestling, and “entertainers” who would join JWP Joshi Puroresu. LLPW would be successful throughout in the 1990s, even producing MMA-inspired shows as it was popular in Japan at the time. LLPW began to decline in 2000, as most of its stars were retiring faster than they could make new ones. Beginning in 2011, after a rebrand in name, the newly christened LLPW-X would produce shows much less frequently, but still at a rate of around 1-2 per year. It remains one of the longest continuously running promotions in Japan today.
