Proprietary facial and body scanning technology deliver the most realistic WWE Superstars, Divas and Legends EVER. The best commentary featured in a WWE game to date, with more than five times the lines recorded than any other year. More changes to presentation elements, such as lighting and crowd, aid in making WWE 2K15 the most realistic simulation to date for the franchise.
The PlayStation 4, Xbox One versions of the game feature the same face and body scanning tech that was used for NBA 2K14 to ensure that the models look as close to their real-life counterparts as possible. Visual Concepts is capturing a variety of facial expressions so that wrestlers will express more realistic emotions in the ring.
Textures for clothing, beards & long hair have been majorly upgraded. Visual Concepts has redone the entire lighting, arenas and crowds.
Crowds have received a big overhaul. There’s a large variety of fans, both young and old, and their range of clothing rarely repeats (aside from wrestling shirts, just like at real events). In 2K14, fans repeated every third or fourth person. This is a much more realistic representation of a crowd that you’ll find at a WWE event.
The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are displayed in 1080p resolution and run at 60 fps.
The development team has spent more time on commentary than any previous cycle, as WWE 2K15 now has five times the amount of commentary as any previous WWE game. Most of the commentary had Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler in the booth together to create more fluid commentary. There will be a massive 30 to 35 hours of commentary per announcer to keep things fresh and prevent hearing constant repeats. There's also a good amount of new trivia added for every star, though a bit too much of it is Cole listing a wrestler's title wins or Lawler reading off moves.
For the first time since Smackdown vs. Raw 2010, WWE 2K15 features a licensed soundtrack, curated by John Cena. The soundtrack consists of music from a variety of artists from various music genres, including hip-hop, rock, and country.
