With yesterday's final WWE 2K16 Roster Reveal, we now know the full list of playable characters in the game for a record total of 125 Superstars, Legends & Divas (click here to see the full WWE 2K16 Roster Page).
While the Roster is the largest it has ever been and includes a huge variety of characters, there are still many notable names that didn't make the cut - most prominently the NXT Divas (now part of the main roster Divas Revolution) Sasha Banks and Charlotte.
It's worth noting that some of them in the list, especially the likes of the Dudley Boyz and Samoa Joe, debuted (or returned) in WWE way too recently to be considered for inclusion in the game: it remains to be seen whether or not these characters can be added in the future as DLC.
But without further ado, let's take a look at the notable wrestlers that are missing from the WWE 2K16 Roster.
Main Roster Stars omitted:
- Los Matadores (Epico & Fernando)
- The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & Devon) - just recently returned
Notable Divas omitted:
- Sasha Banks
- Charlotte
- Becky Lynch
- Bayley
- Alexa Bliss
- Carmella
- Rosa Mendes
Notable Legends omitted:
- Road Dogg - while Billy Gunn is in the game
- Scott Hall / Razor Ramon
- Legion of Doom (Animal & Hawk)
- Sid Vicious
- Kurt Angle - very unlikely due to him being in TNA
- Owen Hart - basically impossible due to his wife's terms with WWE
More notable names from NXT:
- Alex Riley
- Blake & Murphy
- Bull Dempsey
- Rhyno
- Samoa Joe - debuted recently
- Solomon Crowe
- The Brian Kendrick
Missing names from WWE 2K15
The WWE 2K16 Roster also features almost every single character that appeared in WWE 2K15 (including DLC), with the exception of a few names. Here they are:
- AJ Lee - no longer in WWE
- Alberto Del Rio - no longer in WWE
- CM Punk - no longer in WWE
- Corey Graves - retired from in-ring competition
- Hulk Hogan - we all know what happened with that
- Justin Gabriel - no longer in WWE
- Rey Mysterio - no longer in WWE
- Rob Van Dam - no longer in WWE
- The Great Khali - no longer in WWE
