Mick Foley has provided a few comments in regards to a possible appearance in the upcoming multiplatform video game, “WWE 2K15”. According to a report from Wrestling Inc on April 18, the former wrestler revealed that he will most likely not be in this year’s edition of the wrestling simulation series. He is apparently upset with the compensation of the royalty fees.

Mick Foley’s appearance in “WWE 2K15” is linked to a Legends deal with the WWE. Although the check was low in “WWE 2K14” he understood that the original publisher of the video game, THQ, ended up going bankrupt. As a result, WWE had to quickly partner with 2K Games while last year’s title was still in development.

For “WWE 2K15,” however, he won’t be as undemanding. Mick Foley explained that there is no upside for him to sign the new Legends deal without the overwhelming financial benefits. Aside from being a playable character in a video game, the unique contract also enables retired wrestlers to make special appearances as well as earn additional revenue through merchandise sales. You can find the comments made by Mick Foley from the CBS Radio interview below:

"Honestly, I'm probably not going to sign my Legends deal with WWE because I don't think they did the right thing by the guys with the video game. The check was a little low. Last year, there was a bankruptcy, but this year there wasn't. So, I don't see the upside to signing the Legends deal when the carrot isn't there dangling. So, I'm not going to sign my Legends deal."

Mick Foley appeared as himself in “WWE 2K14.” Throughout his career, he also used the Cactus Jack, Dude Love and Mankind personas. Based on the contract dispute, however, fans won’t be able to play any of the aforementioned characters in this year’s iteration.

Take-Two Interactive announced earlier this year that “WWE 2K15” would be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One. The video game is expected to come out sometime later this autumn season. Although the aforementioned wrestler may not be included, several leaks suggested that John Cena, Justin Gabriel and The Undertaker would be playable.
