As posted by Senior WWE Games Community Manager, THQ_Tank, on the official WWE Games forums, his colleague Marcus Stephenson has officialy parted ways with the company as of today.
Marcus Stephenson joined THQ in April 2010 and worked both as a Game Designer and a Community Manager for WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 and WWE '12.
While there is speculation that his departure might be related to the current THQ financial situation, the reasons stated by THQ_Tank involve family matters. Here's a part of his post:
"If you live and breath these forums daily, or follow us on Twitter, then by now you know @stephensonmc, aka "The Hammer", has departed as the voice of reason from our WWE Games message boards here and your primary Community Manager. It's important to understand his departure was primarily due to following his heart and family in a different direction and by no means did he leave our WWE Games Community here easily, it's always a very difficult decision to leave a community you manage. Having been a Community Manager myself for over 7 years (from EA to here at THQ), I know this just as well."
TheSmackDownHotel.com would like to wish Marcus Stephenson the best in his future endeavors.
