WWE 2K24 Match Types List, Weapons & Custom Rules

WWE 2K24 will feature a wide variety of Match Types, with up to 8 wrestlers in the ring at the same time. On this page, you can find all the WWE 2K24 Match Types available in the game.

Also, with the Custom Matches / Match Creator feature in WWE 2K24, players can create and save their own match types with a customized set of rules.

WWE 2K24 New Match Types

WWE 2K24 finally delivers four new, chaotic match types: Special Guest Referee, Ambulance Match, Casket Match, and Gauntlet Match. 

The Special Guest Referee match makes its long-awaited return in WWE 2K24. The special referee can be AI-controlled or player-controlled. The match type can be played only in 1 on 1 match types, both offline and online. Players have the power to officiate an entire match, and to cause a little mayhem such as the ability to call for a DQ when a DQ wasn't warranted, or say that someone tapped out when they didn't.

In addition, the Backstage Brawl now features 4-player support and new interactive environmental elements - including a working elevator, breakable control room glass, and a vending machine with throwable sodas.

Also, Double-Title Matches make their return in WWE 2K24, and the Royal Rumble now offers support for eight online players in 30-Superstar online matches.

Plus, all of the familiar WWE 2K match types, such as WarGames, Extreme Rules, TLC, Submission, Hell in a Cell, and many more are featured in the game.

WWE 2K24 Match Rules & Custom Matches:

The Custom Matches & Match Rules feature in WWE 2K24, formerly known as Match Creator, lets you create a custom set of rules for a match, save them as Custom Match Types, and use them in Exhibition and WWE Universe.

You can, of course, also simply customize these rules on the fly before starting a regular match, without the need of saving it as a separate match type.
